Approximately 19 kms from the capital Helsinki, is located the International Airport "Vantaa" (IATA code HEL). The airport has the capacity to handle all types of modern airplanes and covers about 90% of the international traffic in Finland. It is a base of the Finnish national flag carrier "Finnair", and of the low-cost airline company "Blue1", which is part of "SAS".
