Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (IATA code CDG) is located in Paris area and is also known as Roissy Airport. The airport is located approximately 25 km from Paris in northeastern direction and is among the main aviation centers in the world, and also the biggest airport in France. It serves as the main base for Air France and is e base for Delta Air Lines in Europe. The airport handles almost 60 million passengers a year and is the second busiest airport on the continent after London Heathrow in terms of passengers served. Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport has three terminals, which are connected by a light-rail shuttle. Currently, there are expansion projects going on at the airport which include reconstruction of Terminal 2E, new departure hall, completion of Satellite 3 for large capacity airliners like Airbus A380, construction of a new terminal building - Terminal 2G, construction of a new Satellite 4. The transfer between the terminals is done with the new airport metro line. Airport Charles de Gaulle could be reached by the suburban rail network and the high-speed national rail network. Other options include the Roissybus services, Air France couches with connections to Orly Airport in Paris, as well as taxi services.
