Located 17 kms from Bucharest in the northwestern direction, near the town of Otopeni, International Airport "Henri Coanda" (IATA code OTP) is the busiest airport in the country. It is also a base for the national flag carrier of Romania "TAROM". The airport has two runways, a platform for helicopters and one terminal with two buildings where one of the buildings is serving the departing international flights and the other is serving the incoming international flights and the domestic flights. The terminal buildings are connected by a walkway. There are numerous shops and a duty-free zone, several restaurants and cafes, lounges and a chapel. The International Airport "Henri Coanda" can be reached by bus or train, and by car or a taxi.
