Stuttgart International Airport (IATA code SRT) is located 12 kms from the city in the southern direction. It is the seventh most important airport in Germany and a main base for the local low-cost airline companies Germanwings and TUIfly, as well as a base of the ARCOA automobiles. The airport has one runway and four terminals with a capacity of 12 million passengers annually.
