Stuttgart International Airport (IATA code SRT) is located 12 kms from the city in the southern direction. It is the seventh most important airport in Germany and a main base for the local low-cost airline companies Germanwings and TUIfly, as well as a base of the ARCOA automobiles. The airport has one runway and four terminals with a capacity of 12 million passengers annually. The terminals offer many services and amenities for the passengers, including restaurants and shops, pharmacy, bank offices, ATMs, information centers, children's play room, several hotels and wireless internet. Stuttgart International Airport could be reached by car or taxi on highway A8 between Stuttgart, Munich and Karlsruhe as well as with an urban train.
