The national airline company of Kazakhstan Air Astana Air Astana was founded in year 2001 with headquarters in the city of Alma Ata. It is the largest airline in the country and operates flights to 77 destinations in 12 countries in Europe and Asia. The airline fleet comprises 22 airplanes of the type Airbus, Boeing and Fokker, with an average age of 7 years.

According to the baggage requirements of Air Astana, the Economy Class passengers are entitled to one piece of hand baggage up to 8 kg with dimensions 55 x 40 x 20 cm , the Business Class passengers are entitled to an additional piece of hand luggage with dimensions 24 x 35 x 20 cm and total weight to 18 kg. The registered luggage requirements are up to 20 kg for the Economy Class passengers and up to 30 kg for the Business Class passengers.
