The private Spanish airline company Air Europa was founded in year 1986. Its headquarters are in Palma de Mallorca and its base ia at Barajas Airport in Madrid. Air Europa is one of the two largest airline companies in Spain, and is a member of the SkyTeam alliance. The airline offers flights to 44 destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Caribbean, North and South America. The airline fleet consists of airplanes of the type Boeing and Airbus, and there are plans for the purchase of another thirty airplanes Boeing.

According to the baggage requirements of Air Europa, on the medium-distance flights the Business Class passengers are entitled to one piece of hand baggage up to 14 kg, while those from the Economy Class are entitled to one piece of hand baggage up to 10 kg. On the long-distance flights, the restriction is respectfully 18 kg and 10 kg. The registered luggage requirements depend on the duration of the flight, the season, the travel destination and the class and should be provided upon the purchase of the tickets.
