Icelandair, the national flag carrier of Iceland, was established in year 1937 and is based in the capital Reykjavik. The airline operates flights to 32 destinations in 12 countries in Europe and North America and is a major stop with connections and transfers for the passengers from Europe to the U.S. and vice versa. According to the baggage requirements of Icelandair, the Economy Class passengers are entitled to one piece of hand baggage up to 6 kg with dimensions 55 x 35 x 25 cm, while the Business and First Class passengers are entitled to two pieces with a total weight up to 9 kg and dimensions 55 x 35 x 25 cm. The allowed registered luggage is 20 kg for the Economy Class passengers and 30 kg for the First and Business Class passengers. When the flight is to Canada and the U.S., the limit is for one piece of luggage weighing 23 kg for the Economy Class passenegers and two pieces of luggage up to 32 kg each for the Business and First Class passengers.

Icelandair offers on board an entertainment system with movies and music, while children are given free pillows, blanket and food.
