The national airline company of Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabian Airlines has its main headquarters in the city of Jeddah and as main base the International Airport in Jeddah. The airline makes numerous charter flights and regular flights to 80 domestic and international destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe. The airline fleet consists of airplanes of the type Boeing and Airbus, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, and McDonnell Douglas.

According to the baggage requirements of the Saudi Arabian Airlines, the Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry hand baggage up to 7 kg, while the First and Business Class passengers are entitled to 9 kg of hand baggage. The requirements for the registered baggage are according to the destination and the type of the airplane.

By year 2006 Saudi Arabian Airlines was the largest airline company in the region, while today it has given its first place to the Emirates Airlines. The company has a special catering department, however alcohol is not served on board for religious reasons. The company offers a variety of entertainment for the children during the flight and is used as the official carrier of the royal family.
