Astana International Airport (IATA code TSE) is situated approximately 14 km outside the capital of Kazakhstan, the city of Astana. The airport began operating back in year 1931, and recently underwent major renovations which turned it into a modern airport that corresponds to the international standards and can accept all types of aircraft. Astana International Airport has two terminals one for the international flights and one for the domestic flights, where the new passenger terminal was opened in year 2005. The airport serves more than a million passengers each year.
