Cape Town International Airport (IATA code CPT) is located 20 km from the city center of Cape Town in South Africa. It is the second busiest airport in the country, offering regular domestic flights to Durban, Johannesburg and several smaller cities, as well as many international flights to various destinations in Europe and Asia, North and South America. In year 2009 the airport received an award for best airport by "Skytrax". Cape Town International Airport has one terminal and two runways. The terminal building is divided into two levels, one for the incoming and one for the departing passengers and has a check-in center with more than 120 gates. The airport has a system for automatic handling of baggage, walkways and a great choice of shops. Here is situated the biggest restaurant on the continent. Cape Town International Airport can be reached by bus or car. There is also a project for a metro and a railway line.
