Geneva International Airport (IATA code GVA) is located less than 5 km away from the city center northwestern direction. The airport is a main base for the airline companies “EasyJet Switzerland", "Flaybaboo" and a secondary hub for the national carrier "Swisse International Airlines". Here are located the headquarters of the European and International Air Transport Association (IATA). The northern boundary of the airport coincides with the border between Switzerland and France and therefore the airport is used by travelers from both countries. The infrastructure of the airport includes two runways, one of which being the longest in the country, while the other is used by smaller airplanes.
