Geneva International Airport (IATA code GVA) is located less than 5 km away from the city center northwestern direction. The airport is a main base for the airline companies “EasyJet Switzerland", "Flaybaboo" and a secondary hub for the national carrier "Swisse International Airlines". Here are located the headquarters of the European and International Air Transport Association (IATA). The northern boundary of the airport coincides with the border between Switzerland and France and therefore the airport is used by travelers from both countries. The infrastructure of the airport includes two runways, one of which being the longest in the country, while the other is used by smaller airplanes. The airport has one terminal divided into a French and Swiss sections, with all necessary amenities such as restaurants, cafes and shops. Geneva Airport can be reached by bus, taxi or train. During the ski season the airport is served by buses that offer transport to the different ski resorts.
