Havana

Havana International Airport (IATA code HAV), which is officially named Jose Marti International Airport in memory of the poet Jose Marti, is placed approximately 15 km from the capital city of Havana, Cuba in southwestern direction. The airport is a hub for Aero Caribbean and Cubana de Aviacion, as well as Aerogaviota. There are three terminals at the airport and one additional terminal, which is operated by Aero Caribbean. Terminal 1 handles the domestic flights, while Terminal 2 is for the charter flights and is mainly used by the US residents. Terminal 3 is for the international flights and is equipped with modern facilities and has three VIP lounges. An expansion of the airport started in year 2010, including construction of a new terminal. Havana International Airport is the prime airport of Cuba and a gateway serving several million passengers each year. The transfer between the terminals is done by bus service.  The available onsite facilities at Jose Marti International Airport include business facilities, facilities for the disabled passengers and car parking zone. Further are available a bank office and change bureau, as well as a post office, many restaurants and bars, shops and duty-free zones, plus offices of car rental companies. The airport could be reached by local buses and metered taxis.
