Milano International Airport (IATA code MXP) has as an official name Milano Malpensa Airport and is the largest of the three airports serving the city of Milan. The airport is situated 40 km from the city in northwestern direction, in the Varese Province. It is reached through the highway Milano-Varese and the Malpensa Express train, public buses and taxi service with the journey lasting at about 30-40 min. Milano Malpensa Airport is also connected to Linate Airport by a scheduled bus service. The airport serves almost 20 million passengers a year and has a huge deal of international traffic. At Milano Malpensa Airport are placed the hubs of EasyJet and Lufthansa, outside their prime hubs in UK and in Germany respectfully. Milano Malpensa Airport has two terminals connected by a shuttle bus and shall have third runway in year 2012. The airport onsite facilities include conference and business services, assistance for the disabled passengers, plus several hotels and offices of car rental companies. Further are available bank offices, ATM machines, restaurants, bars and numerous shops, including a duty-free zone.
