Bulgaria joins programme for European Air Transport Fleet

Bulgaria has signed an agreement on joining the program for the European Air Transport Fleet at the session of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.

The Bulgarian government has approved the project for agreement between the Defense Ministries of 16 EU Member States for the development of a European Air Transport Fleet (EATF).

Participation in the EATF will include the usage of military transport planes and activities for better use of existing and future airlift assets. One of the main objectives of EATF is to improve the airlift provision within the European Union through more effective usage of existing resources.(www.bnr.bg)
