Negotiations for the launch of a direct flight to China will be held during the Bulgarian-Chinese Investment forum which will take place in the city of Plovdiv on May.

“After a certain agreement is reached talks with Chinese carriers will be launched, explained the chairman of the Bulgaria Center for Development, Investments and Tourism in China,” Ivan.
“The real job could be accomplished for two months after an agreement with a carrier is reached,” Mr Todorov explained.
Over 150 businessmen from Asia will arrive to Plovdiv for the future forum. As a result of the business meetings it is expected that an economic industrial zone starts functioning in Bulgaria as well as a textile center.
The annual turnover in the economic zone is expected to reach 10 billion euro after 3 to 5 years.
The Chinese businessmen have interest in investing in Bulgaria in the fields of energy, construction business, finance, tourism, textile and cosmetic industries. Asia shows interest in importing Bulgarian cosmetics, wines and yoghurt.
