Aviation center for lightweight, sports and tourist aircraft opens in Pleven

An aviation center for lightweight, sports and tourist aircraft has been launched in Pleven, Northern Bulgaria.

The center has received European certification and has been already included in the world map of airports on the planet. After Bulgaria joins the Schengen area, airplanes from across Europe will have free access to its runways. The center will organize, twice a year, aviation days where pilots of lightweight aircraft from Bulgaria and neighboring countries will be able to gather. Currently, there are more than 40 sports airplanes and more than 100 powered hang gliders in Bulgaria, with their numbers rising every year. (information by bnr.bg)
