Approximately 8 kms from the center of Copenhagen in the southeastern direction, is situated the International Airport "Kastrup" (IATA code CPH). It is the largest airport in Denmark and in the Scandinavia region, a main base for the air carriers Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) and an important center for "Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia", "Cimber Sterling", "Norwegian Air Shuttle" and "transavia.com". The airport has three runways and four terminals. Terminal 1 serves the domestic flights Terminals 2 and 3 cover the international flights, and the new Terminal 4 is for the low-cost flights. The terminal buildings have absolutely everything one might need while waiting. The International Airport "Kastrup" can be reached by car, train, subway, or bus. There are buses that travel directly to several destinations in Norway and Sweden.
