Abu Dhabi International Airport (IATA code AUH) is situated near the capital of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi and is one of the best developing airports in the world when it comes to infrastructure, new airline operators and traffic of passengers. Being the second largest airport in the country, Abu Dhabi Airport has three terminals linked by shuttle buses and is serving more than twelve million passengers per year. A fourth terminal is about to be completed in year 2012, which will further enlarge the airport passenger capacity. According to the project, at the airport will be constructed a second runway that will accept the latest aircraft generation, including the largest passenger aircraft Airbus A380. Abu Dhabi Airport is located some 30 km east of the city and could be reached by car on three major roads and by a city bus on an hourly basis. There are free bus coaches operating between the airport and Dubai for the Etihad Airways customers. The airport facilities include ATM machines, a vast range of places to eat, car rental offices, plus 24-hour duty free shop in all three terminals. Car parking is available close to each of the terminals.
