Approximately 19 kms from the capital Helsinki, is located the International Airport "Vantaa" (IATA code HEL). The airport has the capacity to handle all types of modern airplanes and covers about 90% of the international traffic in Finland. It is a base of the Finnish national flag carrier "Finnair", and of the low-cost airline company "Blue1", which is part of "SAS". The airport has three runways and two terminals, one for the domestic flights and one for the international flights. Passengers have access to many services and facilities at the airport. In close proximity is to be found a major international business park, and several hotels, as well as the Finnish Aviation Museum. The airport can be reached by bus and by car. The national airline company further provides its own bus transportation.
