Ataturk International Airport (IATA code IST) is the main airport that serves the city of Istanbul and the area, in Turkey. It is located on the European side of the city and is approximately 24 km from the city center in western direction. The airport has passenger traffic of 32 million people and is among the ten busiest airports in Europe. It has four terminals, where Terminal 1 is for domestic flights, Terminal 2 is for international flights, Terminal 3 is for cargo flights and Terminal 4 is for General Aviation. The terminals are connected with a walkway with escalators and travelators. The available airport facilities include a conference center with various facilities, three conference halls, various facilities for the disabled passengers, car parking zone, offices of car rental companies, as well as a hotel. The other terminal facilities include ATM machines, banks, post offices, restaurants, cafes and bars, many shops and a duty-free zone, as well as a pharmacy and a playroom for children. Ataturk International Airport could be reached through a light rail metro system and the airport buses Havas, as well as with taxis and shared taxes set outside the terminals.
