New airport tax for departures in Male, Maldives

New tax for all passengers departing from Ibrahim Nasir Airport in the capital of Maldives.

New fee, Airport Development Charge (ADC), will has to be paid by all passengers over 2 years old, departing from the international airport Ibrahim Nasir in the capital of Maldives. The amount of this tax is 25 USD and will be applicable from 01.01.2012.

The Airport Development Charge will be paid at the airport by self-service kiosks for payment by credit card or just before check-in by cash.

Passengers arriving at Malé International Airport will receive during the passport control incoming information brochure for the new fee and the procedure for its payment. The information will be displayed in 11 languages ​​from special monitors located near the places of registration. Additional time will be provided for check in.
